Common Projects ‘Original Achilles’ sneakers

Keep it simple.  Nobody does minimal better than Common Projects.

A pair of white sneakers are a wardrobe must have.  There is no better sneaker staple than the Common Projects’ ‘Original Achilles’ sneakers. Simply put, we like them for their minimalist design and superior construction. The sleek white version is perfect for creating crisp, city-smart looks. They are effortlessly understated flair.

Fit and Sizing

These sneakers fit true to size, though they only come in full sizes. If you’re between sizes, it’s best to go up to the nearest whole size. They are made with a narrow fit, so keep that in mind if you have wider feet.

Material, Design & Construction

Crafted from soft white leather and stamped with their signature gold serial numbers, these sneakers are a testament to Italian craftsmanship.  Despite being based in NYC, the sneakers are handcrafted in Italy’s Marche region from fine Italian leather.  The leather lining and thick, substantial rubber soles provide both comfort and durability, ensuring that the sneakers mold to your feet over time and offer a cushioned feel with each step. Common Projects was founded in 2004 by Prathan Poopat and Flavio Girolami.

Care and Maintenance

To keep your Common Projects looking pristine, regular cleaning is essential. Wipe them down with a damp rag, occasionally brush with a horsehair brush, and use a leather cleaner for tougher dirt. Using shoe trees will help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.

Durability

Common Projects sneakers are built to last, far outlasting cheaper alternatives. I myself still have a pair that is over 10 years old.
